CPECC won the bid for the EPC general contracting project of 1.2 million tons/year ethylene above-ground pipe network in Dushanzi
On May 11, 2024, CPECC Southwest Branch took the lead, together with CPECC First Construction Company and Sichuan Oil Construction Company, to form a bidding consortium and successfully won the bid for the general contracting (EPC) project of the whole plant of the whole plant and the first phase of the above-ground pipe network renovation project of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year second phase ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company, which is also the first time that the Southwest Branch has won the bid for the EPC general contracting project of the refining and chemical industry.
The winning project is an important part of the second phase of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project, with the main workload of about 6.1 kilometers of pipe corridors and 350 kilometers of pipelines, involving a steel structure weight of about 20,000 tons.

On May 8, 2024, the public participation in the environmental impact assessment of the green and low-carbon demonstration project supporting the second phase of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company was publicized for the first time.

Dushanzi Petrochemical 1.2 million tons/year phase II ethylene project
It is understood that the second phase of PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Tarim ethylene project is mainly to separate ethane from natural gas, and then crack ethane to make ethylene. With a total investment of 29 billion yuan, the project includes: 1.2 million tons/year of ethylene, two sets of 450,000 tons/year of full-density polyethylene, 300,000 tons/year of low-density polyethylene, 450,000 tons/year of polypropylene, and other 11 sets of major production units, supporting the construction of green and low-carbon demonstration projects.
On December 21, 2023, the 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project of the Tarim Phase II ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company officially started construction.
In October 2023, the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical Branch was officially launched in the Korla Shangku High-tech Industrial Development Zone in southern Xinjiang.
On August 7, 2023, Dushanzi Petrochemical Company held a mobilization meeting for the construction of the second phase of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project, and on August 8, Dushanzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. announced the successful implementation of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year phase II ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company.
On April 26, 2023, the Korla government website released the second public participation in the environmental impact assessment of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year phase II ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company.
